A Heartwarming Union Meal – Bonding and Sharing
On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2025), at noon on July 28, 2025, the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union of Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company organized a special lunch for all company staff and workers.
Unlike the regular daily meals (valued at VND 45,000 per person, ensuring full nutrition and health), this time the menu was upgraded with a higher budget, offering a richer variety of dishes with improved nutrition and quality. The program served 500 meals, each valued at VND 95,000, with a total cost of over VND 47 million – jointly funded by the Trade Union and the Company.
Beyond enhancing the quality of the meal, the Trade Union also presented meaningful gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, as a sincere gesture of encouragement, giving them additional motivation and strength to overcome life’s challenges.
Many employees expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the Trade Union’s care:
“The meal was delicious and warm, making us feel truly valued.”
“We hope the company will continue to maintain and expand such meaningful activities.”
Though simple, the lunch was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, providing an opportunity for members of the company to feel the tangible care and support from both the Company and the Trade Union. Through this activity, the Trade Union once again reaffirmed its role as a companion to workers, aiming together toward building a friendly, humane, and sustainable working environment.
心温まる「労働組合の食事」－ 絆と分かち合いを大切に
ベトナム労働組合設立96周年（1929年7月28日～2025年7月28日）を記念し、2025年7月28日に、MARUICHI SUN STEEL JSCの基礎労働組合委員会は、全社員を対象とした特別な昼食会を開催しました。
日頃の食事（一人あたり45,000VND、栄養バランスと健康に配慮されたメニュー）とは異なり、今回の昼食会では、より高い費用でグレードアップされたメニューが提供されました。
栄養価が高く、バラエティに富んだ質の高い料理が用意され、500食（1食あたり95,000VND）が振る舞われました。総費用は4,700万VND以上にのぼり、このプログラムは労働組合と会社の協力により実施されました。
食事の質を高めるだけでなく、労働組合は困難な状況にある従業員に対して、心のこもったプレゼントも贈りました。それは、心からの励ましの気持ちを込めたものであり、生活の中で直面する困難を乗り越えるための勇気と力を与えることを目的としています。
多くの従業員が労働組合からの心遣いに感動し、感謝の気持ちを表しました。

質素ながらも温かい雰囲気の中で開催されたこの食事会は、社員一人ひとりが会社と労働組合からの思いやりや気遣いを改めて実感する機会となりました。
この活動を通じて、労働組合は労働者と共に歩む役割を確実にし、親しみやすく人間味あふれる、そして持続可能な職場環境の構築を目指していることを示しました。
