On the evening of July 31, 2026, at Hotel Nikko Saigon, Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company (SUNSCO) proudly celebrated its 30th Anniversary under the theme “Honoring the Past – Creating the Future.”
The event marked a significant milestone, reflecting on SUNSCO’s remarkable 30-year journey of growth and development while expressing sincere appreciation to generations of employees, shareholders, business partners, and valued customers whose trust and contributions have been instrumental to the Company’s success. At the same time, it signified the beginning of a new chapter of sustainable growth and future aspirations.
THREE DECADES OF DEDICATION TO QUALITY AND TRUST
Established on June 3, 1996, SUNSCO has continuously expanded its manufacturing capabilities and strengthened its presence in Vietnam over the past three decades. Since the commencement of operations of its small-diameter steel pipe plant in 1998, the Company has progressively invested in color coating, continuous hot-dip galvanizing, cold rolling, and large-diameter steel pipe production lines. It has also expanded its footprint in northern Vietnam through the establishment of SUNSCO Hanoi.
This remarkable journey has been built upon the successful integration of Japanese technology, management expertise, and quality control systems with the dedication, perseverance, and craftsmanship of the Vietnamese workforce. Supported by internationally recognized quality standards and a culture of continuous improvement, SUNSCO provides a comprehensive range of high-quality steel products, including 55% Al-Zn alloy-coated steel sheets, galvanized steel sheets, pre-painted steel sheets, round steel pipes, and square and rectangular steel tubes, serving a wide variety of industrial and everyday applications.
In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Suzuki Hiroyuki, Chairman and CEO of Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. (Japan) and Chairman of SUNSCO, emphasized:

It is also a journey marked by challenges overcome together and enduring values that have been preserved and passed down from one generation to the next.
AN ELEGANT GATHERING FILLED WITH WARMTH AND JAPANESE HERITAGE
From the moment guests arrived, SUNSCO’s 30-year journey came to life through a dedicated exhibition showcasing key milestones and a collection of valuable historical photographs. The venue, adorned in the Company’s signature red-and-white color palette, featured an elegantly designed stage complemented by congratulatory flower arrangements, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere enriched with the distinctive spirit of Japanese hospitality and aesthetics.
The celebration was held in an atmosphere of elegance and warmth, featuring cultural performances, networking activities, and a retrospective presentation highlighting SUNSCO’s 30-year journey of growth and development. The occasion also provided a valuable opportunity for the Company’s leadership, shareholders, business partners, customers, and employees to strengthen their relationships and look forward to new opportunities for collaboration.
A highlight of the evening was the Kagami-biraki ceremony—the traditional Japanese sake barrel opening ceremony, symbolizing good fortune, prosperity, and auspicious new beginnings. Joined by SUNSCO’s shareholders and representatives of domestic and international customers, the ceremony reflected the harmonious integration of Japanese heritage with SUNSCO’s development journey in Vietnam, while reaffirming the Company’s enduring commitment to fostering strong, long-term partnerships built on mutual trust and friendship.
In a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, distinguished guests and participants raised their glasses in a toast, enjoyed meaningful conversations, and shared memorable moments together.
